Guide Star.
Image taken with a SBIG ST-4 CCD imager/autoguider at the prime focus of an ETX90 mounted on a 203.2mm f/6.3 Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope. The image was taken at about 11:17 PM on August 7, 2002 in Ellenville, NY. This was the guide star for my photo of M13. This was my first use of the ST-4 on a guidescope for a prime focus image taken with my 203.2mm f/6.3 Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope. Being able to see the guide star in focus on my iBook's screen gave me a lot of confidence in setting up the ST-4 for guiding. I am pleased with the shapes of the stars in the M13 photo.
