Milky Way Rising!

Manually guided photo taken on Fuji Provia 400F film with an exposure of 60 minutes with a Hasselblad 500C/M camera with a Carl Zeiss F-Distagon 30mm f/3.5 C T* lens at full aperture mounted on a classic 203.2mm f/6.3 Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with Losmandy rail and camera mount begun at 1:36 AM on May 17, 2004 in Ellenville, NY. This image has the eastern horizon along the bottom, and since it is taken with a fisheye lens, the corners show the silhouettes of the trees on the horizon. The Big Dipper is visible (inverted) in the upper left of the image. The Little Dipper is about halfway down the left side.
